The Attitudes of Students towards Using Multimedia in Teaching the English Language / Abdullah Salem Al-Mannai
The aim of this study is to explore the attitudes of the Foundation Program students , Qatar University, towards using multimedia software in leaching the English language. An instrument. consisting of 19 items was prepared by the researcher.
The results of the study showed:
1. There are positive attitudes among all the students towards using multimedia software in teaching the English language.
2. There are statistically significant differences between the male and female groups in favor of the female group, which showed more positive attitudes than the male group in the total score and especially in items 7, 8, 9, 11, 12. 15 and 19.
3. There are statistically significant differences between the English major students and the science major students in favor of the English major students who showed more positive attitudes in items 10 and 15 only
4. There are statistically significant differences between the students who have their own computers and the students who do not have their own computers in favor of those who have computers who showed more positive responses in item 8 only.
5 There are statistically significant differences between the University financed students and self-financed students in favor of the University financed students who have more positive attitudes in item 18 only
