The Relationship between Attitudes about Drug Use and Conformity of Some Saudi College Students / Mohammed J. Jamal -al -Lail
The main purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between attitudes about drug use and conformity of some Saudi college students among the following variables : sex, urban and rural, level of study, and level of monthly income. The sample of the study was 200 male and female students. The two appropriate scales of attitudes about drug use and conformity were administered The data was then analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The results show no relationship between attitudes about drug use and conformity, and no significant difference in attitudes about drug use and conformity among most variables except a significant difference in conformity between male and female students . There was a. significant difference in attitudes about drug use between urban and rural students, and between the levels of study . The results were then discussed in the context of Saudi culture, and recommendations for counseling service, and further research
