The Effect of Educational Conferences for Teacher Education on Developing Professional Knowledge of Teaching Staff Members at the College of Education, Om Al-Kurrah University, Makkah Al-Mukarramah / Latifa Saleh Al-Semairi

The aim of this study is to define the effect of educational conferences for teacher education on developing professional knowledge among teaching staff members at the College of Education, Om Al Kurrah University. in Makkah Al-Mukarramah In the light of the objectives of the study, a number of questions, terminology, and limitations were defined. In order to answer these questions. the researcher used the analytic descriptive approach, through a questionnaire of five axes and some 62 items, after measuring its validity and making sure of its reliability. In order to analyze the results analytically, the researcher used chi-square, oneway analysis of variance , ANOVA,  and t-test The results of the study showed the following conclusions:
1. Educational conferences for teacher education have an influential effect on developing the professional knowledge among teaching staff in teacher education, expected role of teachers, and the principles and skills of scientific research.
2. Educational conferences for teacher education have a poor effect on developing professional knowledge of teaching staff in the field of training needs of the teachers, and in knowledge of teaching competencies of teachers' teachers.
3. There is no significant statistical difference among the answers of teaching staff members about the effect of educational conferences for teacher education in developing professional knowledge of teaching staff according to the variables of educational level age and years of experience.
4. The most important difficulties which the teaching staff members face in participation or attendance of educational conferences are as follows: a difficulty in getting copies of the papers researchers submitted in the conference; acknowledging the conference date in late time; the delay of publication details; and not knowing what will become of the conferences' recommendations.
In the light of the study's results, the researcher recommends the allocation of the next educational conference to the education and development of teaching staff early announcement of the dates of the educational conference and its instructions. and the formation of a committee to evaluate the works of the conference and another to follow up its recommendations.
