A Study of Faculty Members' Perceptions Regarding the Internet in the College of Education at King Saud University / Jamal A. Al-Sharhan
The main objective of this study was to explore the views of faculty members in the College of Education, King Saud University, regarding the internet. To achieve this purpose a questionnaire was designed by the researcher and administered randomly to 72 faculty members. The major finding of the study were as follows:
1 - 64% of the sample have not used computers at all, and 75% of the sample have not used the internet.
2 - Opinions of the sample were in agreement concerning the importance of using the computer and the internet in learning, beside they need for training courses in both computer and internet.
3 - Opinions of the sample were in agreement concerning the importance of providing internet facilities in Saudi universities, colleges, research centers, institutions and schools.
4 - Faculty members offered some advantages, disadvantages and suggestions for using the internet in the light of the previous findings the researcher presented some recommendations
