Planning is a Basic Task of the School Principal / Mohamed Musa Oqeilan

The aim of this research is to clarify the meaning of planning. its importance and its benefits to school principals. It will also indicate the stages of preparation of the annual plan of the school's educational work. and the procedures of its implementation and evaluation. To achieve this aim, the research studied and analysed the meaning, importance and benefits of planning to the school principal, steps of the planning task. how to prepare the school principal's annual plan. and stages of preparing such a plan. The stages are: plan pre-development stag this research dealt with the general characteristics of good planning. It Stressed that the successful school principal should be a successful planner. educational work requires efficient planning and planning training should be a main part in the schools principal’s preparation and training programme.
