Training Needs for Art Education Teachers in Intermediate Schools / Abdulaziz R. Al-Najada
The purpose of this study is to identify the most important training needs for art education teachers in intermediate schools in three areas: academic needs, professional , A,B, needs and evaluation needs.
This study included all intermediate school teachers of art education in Riyadh city. For the purpose of gathering the data, a questionnaire was developed. The major findings of the study are as follows: 1, There was an agreement between groups for assessing the range of need for more than 500/o of training needs for art education teachers. 2, There were no significant statistical differences between the academic qualifications and the training needs concerning two parts; the academic and professional , A,B, needs and there were significant statistical differences on the evaluation part. 3, There were significant statistical differences between expereience and the training needs concerning: academic and professional , A, reeds and there were no significant statistical differences on the part of professional , B, and evaluation needs. The major recommendations: Trainine, programs for art education teachers should be arranged and they should depend on the following training needs: academic, professional and evaluation needs.
