The role of performance expectations in future and achievement motivation in academic achievement among Al- Bayt university students' / Ziad Khamis El-Tah

The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences between individuals in their academic achievement due to theexpectations of their performance in future tasks and their achievement motivation. Data for this study were collected from a stratifiedrandom sample consisted of , 200,  student at Al al-Bayt university; half of them male and the other half is female, present all the college andall the academic levels. 'lhrough using the scale of expectations of performance in future tasks and achievement motivation scale, datacollected. Two way analyses of variance revealed a significant of expectations of performance in future tasks and achievement motivation, infavor of high expectations of performance and high achievement motivation, however no significant interaction effect has been revealed. Theresults were discussed in the light of social cognitive theory and achievement motivation theory.
