Teaching Performance Development Practices for Faculty Members at King Faisal University / Aljohara Ibrahim Bubshait
The objective of the study was to find teaching performance development practices at King Faisal University, and the extent at which there are differences in statistical inference regarding those practices according to the variables of college, sex, and educational degree. In order to achieve these objectives the researcher used , 22, statements representing development opportunities, resources, and teaching performance evaluations of faculty members. The study outcomes demonstrated a general consensus among study sample subjects that there is what equates to , 55%, of developmental practices King Faisal University is carrying out in order to develop the teaching performance of faculty members. Moreover, the outcomes demonstrated the presence of a differential statistical inference in some practices; such as the university's easing of educational leave of absence, providing courses, classes, and other educational resources pertaining to teaching performance development in favor of male members. On the other hand, conducting small educational circles, workshops for teaching faculty members about effective teaching methods, inviting specialists and experts in the field of educational performance development was found in favor of female members. Study findings also revealed a trace of statistical inference according to the variable of college in the development opportunities axis in favor of the College of Education. Finally, there was no statistical differentiation according to the educational degree variable regarding the teaching performance development practices of teaching faculty members.
