The reality of free e-reading for Arabic students-teacher In Egypt and Saudi Arabia / Mukhtar Abd Al Khalek Abd Ellah Attia
This study aimed at detecting the reality of free e-reading for student-teachers of Arabic in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and
comparing the situation in both countries. The study sample consisted of (200) students-teachers of Arabic in Egypt and Saudi Arabia; the
questionnaire, which was prepared by the researcher to investigate the reality of free e-reading, consists of four axes, attitudes, motivations,
areas, and constraints of Free e-reading, and includes (61) phrases, that have been verified in terms of validity and reliability. The study
results have shown positive attitudes of student-teachers of Arabic towards free e-reading in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The study has also
shown diversification in terms of free e-reading motivations, areas, and obstacles. No statistically significant differences have been found
between the response averages of Saudi students and Egyptian students as regards attitudes motivations, and the areas of free e-reading.
However, a statistically significant difference at the level of (0.005) has been recorded in favor of student-teachers of Arabic as regards
response averages in relation to constraints of free e-reading.
