A Model for the Usage of Educational Media / Mohamed Ibn Sulaiman Al-Moshaikeh
In our present time the teacher‘s role has undergone an inevitable and fundamental change due to the vast scientific and technological progress. This progress is very challenging to active teachers because it has necessitated the usage of new inventions in the advancement of education. The educational media derives its importance from attaining the educational goals; and its wise usage is an urgent educational necessity.
Since we, as educators specialized in educational media and teacher training, believe in the role that this media plays in the educational process, and we urge others to use it, then we should be good examples.
To objectify this, the researcher has suggested a model consisting of four points each including a few subtitles. The main points are: identification, training, availability of educational media. availability of incentives (both Spiritual and material), and habituating its usage and finally in-service training. This model allows for altering the sequence of the contents. In the present ever-changing circumstances alteration is, sometimes, essential if we are to keep pace with the progress of science and technology
